Buttercup Studios is Emma’s private studio, available (from time to time) for holiday guests to stay.

Located by the sea in Whitstable, England, Buttercup Studios is at the heart of all Emma Thomson’s work. Most of her children’s books are written and illustrated here. Buttercup has been featured in magazines, on TV and, if you look carefully, it’s rooms & contents appear in most of Emma’s stories; The kitchen in Lili and Pickle’s ‘A night time adventure’, the view from Princess Pearls bedroom window in ‘A Birthday Ball’ and the wallpaper in Felicity Wishes ‘Secrets and Surprises’ can all easily be recognised in the books pages.

Buttercup Holidays cost from £109 per night based on up to two people sharing for a two night minimum stay. The cottage sleeps up to four comfortably and additional guests cost £25 per person per night. To find out about availability either fill in your request via the contact page.
